There are a lot of things that can restrict your ability to look however you truly want to, and this usually has a lot to do with wherever it is that you are working at that precise moment on the timeline. Most work places usually have dress codes that will dictate the kinds of clothes that you wear once all has been said and is now out of the way, and there are quite a few situations where they would go so far as to try to tell you what your head hair and facial hair are supposed to look like as well.

Anyone that works in residential security will most likely have a uniform that they need to wear while they are on the jobs which makes it easier to stick to the official dress code than might have been the case otherwise. However, did you know that there are sometimes a few restrictions in terms of whether or not you can have facial hair as well? The majority of security companies allow guards to have beards as long as they keep them trimmed and groomed, but there are a few here or there that might require their guards to be clean shaven.

You can of course get special dispensations if you are keeping a long beard for religious reasons. However, this is the only case in which you would be allowed to keep a beard that is longer than what people usually allow. Security guards usually can’t grow long beards because of the fact that this might result in them having a part of their face that can be attacked with ease and tugged thereby causing some injury.
